Privacy policy

The short version

Your photos never leave your device. All conversion happens inside your browser. We have no copies of your images — we couldn't look at them even if we wanted to.

What we do NOT collect

• Your image files (they are never transmitted)
• Filenames, image dimensions, or EXIF/metadata content
• GPS or location data embedded in photos
• Your name, email, or any account data (there are no accounts)

What we DO collect

To understand usage and fix bugs, the app sends anonymous conversion events:

• A random session identifier (not linked to you, resets every visit)
• The format pair used (e.g. "HEIC → JPG")
• Number of files in the batch and whether conversion succeeded
• An error category if something failed (e.g. "file too large")
• Browser family (e.g. "Chrome") for compatibility debugging

That's the complete list. We do not use advertising trackers or sell any data.

Metadata removal

As a side effect of how conversion works, all hidden metadata (EXIF, including GPS location and camera details) is removed from your converted images. We consider this a privacy feature.

Cookies

We don't set tracking cookies. Your settings stay in your browser's local storage only.

Verify it yourself

Open your browser's developer tools (F12) → Network tab, then convert a photo. You'll see no image data in any request — only a tiny anonymous event log.
